Formed - Carved - Painted

These tiles are cut from a block of stoneware clay, carved and a mold is made. The clay is then pressed into the mold and formed as the original design. The tiles are then slowly dried and fired 2 times to insure opacity and hardness. They are painted with over glaze and fire multiple times for depth of color. The rewards are a unique and beautiful art form, which will be enjoyed for the animate characteristic of a handmade piece.
